The Karnataka police on May 20, Wednesday busted a rave party at a farmhouse in Bengaluru where various types of drugs were seized. In the major development of the incident, 86 people, including an actor, tested positive for narcotic substances. The CBI has arrested five persons, reports Indian Express.

The police report suggests that actor Hema was one of the suspects who tested positive for the consumption of the drugs.

Reportedly, the farmhouse was owned by Gopala Reddy, and the birthday party was organized by a Hyderabad-based man, Vasu. As per the reports, the police officials have seized 14.40 grams of MDMA pills, 1.16 grams of MDMA crystals, six grams of hydro ganja, five mobile phones and two vehicles: a Volkswagen and a Land Rover.

According to the Bengaluru police commissioner B Dayananda, 101 people attended the rave party. The party was titled, ‘Vasu’s Birthday: Sunset to sunrise Victory”.

On Monday, actress Hema released a video claiming that she was not part of the rave and was chilling at a farmhouse in Hyderabad. However, CCB sources have confirmed that the video was made while she was detained at the GR farmhouse and the police is investigating how the actress got access to the mobile phones and when the video was recorded, reports Indian Express.

Similarly, another Telugu actress Ashi Roy, released a video on Wednesday admitting that she had attended the ‘Vasu’s Birthday’ party but was unaware it was a rave involving drugs.

Actor Srikanth, who was allegedly to be present at the party said that he was not in Bengaluru and added that people might have confused him with someone else who looked alike.

The Bengaluru police has reported that so far they have tested the samples of 59 men and 27 women who have tested positive for drugs.
