Actor-turned-politician and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Monday attacked Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi by alleging that he is trying to destabilise India’s security and economy. BJP MP slammed Congress leader for supporting the recent Hindenburg report.

The latest investigation from Hindenburg Research, a US-based investment research firm, claimed SEBI chairperson Madhabi Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch were involved in Adani Group’s offshore funds. The opposition addressed the issue in the parliament, and demanded for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe.

Taking to X, Kangana Ranaut wrote: “Rahul Gandhi is the most dangerous man, he is bitter, poisonous and destructive, his agenda is that if he can’t be the Prime Minister then he might as well destroy this nation. Hindenberg report targeting our stock market that Rahul Gandhi was endorsing last night has turned out to be a damp squib. He is trying everything to destabilize this nation its security and economy.”

“Mr Gandhi get ready to sit in the opposition all your life and the way you suffering get ready to suffer the glory, the growth and the nationalism of the people of this nation. They will never make you their leader. You are a disgrace,” BJP MP added.

Responding to the latest Hindenburg Research allegations against SEBI, its chief Madhabi Puri Puch and Adani Group, Rahul Gandhi said: “The umpire (SEBI chief) herself is severely compromised.”

The Congress leader has raised three important questions ‘honest investors across the country have pressing questions’ for the government:

“Why hasn’t SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch resigned yet? If investors lose their hard-earned money, who will be held accountable—PM Modi, the SEBI Chairperson, or Gautam Adani? In light of the new and very serious allegations that have surfaced, will the Supreme Court look into this matter suo moto once again?”

Meanwhile, Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband, Dhaval Buch, have also released a detailed statement addressing claims of a conflict of interest involving their alleged stakes in offshore funds tied to the Adani Group’s money-laundering scandal. The couple refuted the allegations on Sunday, a day after the Hindenburg Report released, and assured transparency and provided a comprehensive defense detailing their decades long career and business deals.
