A variety election campaign is gaining traction on Tamil Nadu. The posters of Prime Minister Modi with the headline “Ji Pay”, alluding to G-Pay, a digital payment application, has been located in the walls of the different parts of the state.
The campaign intended to target the PM and the BJP as the elections dates are coming closer. The posters appeared a day after PM Modi attacked ruling DMK in an election rally conducted in Vellore. In the past days, he undertook multiple election rallies and massive roadshows in different areas in Tamil Nadu.

Alongside PM Modi”s photo, the posters carried QR code labelled messages which meant “Scan and check for scams”. When the bar code is scanned, a video will surface on the mobile phone. The video details the electoral bond scam and other corruptions accusing Modi-led BJP government”s role in it.

Continuing further, the video exhorts voters to reject the BJP and support the INDIA alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. DMK is part of the Opposition-led INDIA bloc which will unitedly face the BJP-led NDA in the elections.
During the election rally in Vellore, PM Modi alleged DMK of corruption and remarked: “Today, the country is setting a world record in 5G communication, but the DMK brought disrepute with the 2G scam. Congress and DMK stand at the forefront to protect the corrupt. While I say remove corruption, they say protect the corrupt,” the Times of India quotes, as Prime Minister is saying.
However, no individual, political party, or organisation has taken responsibility for the posters so far.
