Two kids from the UAE have been trending now, grabbing headlines for their surprising takeover of a domain from a Delhi-based techie, jiohotstar.com. As the developer decided to sell the Indian site to finance his dream of studying abroad, the new Dubai-based owners—siblings Jivika and Jainam Jain— have confirmed their purchase of the site from the developer.
“We bought it for an undisclosed amount. We don’t want to disclose the amount,” The Week quoted the children, adding that they discussed the matter with their parents and, with their support, bought the site. Users are now redirected to a webpage showing the story of the UAE kids.

Many on X opined the Reliance could have financed the techie’s overseas education, noting that it would be interesting to see how Jio will deal with these kids now as they are from another country’s jurisdiction.

On his decision to sell the website, the Indian techie has said he bought the domain hoping that if a merger happens, he might be able to fulfill his dream of studying at Cambridge, but he says the Reliance had yet to accept his demand, and he couldn’t pursue legal action, although he expressed interest in seeking legal advice. He says that his parents are worried over the development and that he did not think the domain change would go this viral.

However, with the change, the UAE-based new owners have introduced themselves with a long note on the website, starting that they are Jainam and Jivika—siblings from Dubai, UAE—on a mission to make a difference. The notes explain that even though they were kids, they believed that age is only a number when it comes to spreading kindness and positivity.
They say kids are not only about studying but also about having the courage to set ambitious goals. The sibling then explains how all their goals started getting wings. “Our recent journey began during our summer holidays when we left our home in Dubai for 50 unforgettable days in India. We had a purpose: to connect with children from various backgrounds, share our love for learning, teach skills for studying and setting goals, and inspire them to dream big,” they said, adding that the website would be their way of sharing those memories. “We hope it brings you closer to the incredible kids we met and encourages you to spread kindness in your own special way,” it noted, adding that they purchased the site to support a young software developer from Delhi for his benefits.
“Through sharing our journey here, we aim to inspire others and keep the domain open for future sale to anyone who wants to continue this positive mission. And one more thing—we love taking on new challenges! Make sure to watch our videos where we’ve shared some of these fun challenges, and we hope they inspire you to try something new too,” the website adds, expressing gratitude to be party of the journey.
The duo also said that they first started a YouTube channel in 2017, doing toy unboxing videos. And they later began sharing moments of Jainam and Javika playing together, along with other family fun videos. “Over time, we shifted focus towards science content, trying out a variety of themes on the channel. Now, our next big step is launching a podcast,” the siblings said, noting that they have already recorded a few episodes with some well-known celebrities.
