Madhya Pradesh: Minor Girl Abducted, Gang-Raped And Thrown From Height

Police officials in Madhya Pradesh“s Gwalior reported on Friday that a 15-year-old girl had been abducted and raped by two youths. When she raised alarm, the perpetrators threw the minor down from a height, Police added. The incident occurred in the Dabra town of Gwalior.

The fall generated serious injuries to the teen, Police said. The incident took place on January 29, when the girl was going to the coaching class.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Niranjan Sharma said that two youths allegedly abducted her on their motorcycle and later raped her.

As she protested and evoked alarm, youths threw her down from a height causing serious injuries on her back. She is admitted to a private hospital, the officer added.

Based on a complaint lodged by the girl on Thursday, ASP added that an FIR (first information report) was filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Indian Penal Code section 376 D (gang rape).

The officer added that a probe started to catch the accused.

Meanwhile, sharing the news report regarding the incident, Congress leader and former chief minister Kamal Nath on X wrote: “The incident of kidnapping and gang rape of an innocent 10th class girl in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh has brought shame and embarrassment to the state.”

“While daughters have again become unsafe in Madhya Pradesh, the incidents happening every day have also raised serious questions on law and order,” Congress leader added.
