Woman Gets Life Sentence For Killing Own Son After He Saw Mother With Lover
Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh: A court recently sentenced a woman from Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior to life for killing her own five-year-old son after he saw his mother in a compromising position with her lover.
The incident occurred back in April 2023. As per reports, Jyoti Rathore, wife of police constable Dhyan Singh Rathore, was allegedly involved in an affair with her neighbour Uday Indolia.

The son allegedly saw his mother along with the neighbor in an unwanted position. The mother, fearing he may reveal what he witnessed to his father, threw the boy from the two-storey roof of a building, leaving Jatin dead within 24 hours.
The case was initially treated as an accident from the rooftop. However, Dhyan had already begun suspecting that something was wrong with his son’s death. Notably, after 15 days, Jyoti admitted what happened and confessed to her husband, who allegedly recorded the confession in audio and video conversations. Additionally, he also collected CCTV footage from cameras installed at their home.

Submitting all this incriminating evidence, Dhyan approached the police and filed a complaint, prompting police to register a case and name Jyoti and her lover Uday as accused.
The court, during the trial, held the mother guilty based on the evidence presented and thus sentenced her to life imprisonment. However, her lover, Uday, was acquitted, with the court citing a lack of evidence against him as he was given the benefit of the doubt.
