Maharashtra Local Body Elections Result Live: BJP Dominates Municipalities And Panchayats
Mumbai, Maharashtra: As the counting for the Maharashtra local body election crossed midway, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in more than 100 municipal council presidential posts across Maharashtra. The opposition, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), is leading with just 47 seats, suggesting a strong edge for the saffron camp.
The elections for the civil bodies were held in two phases, with 263 bodies voting on December 2 and the remaining 23 councils, kick starting a direct fight between the BJP-led Mahayuti and the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi.
