Kerala Local Body Polls: UDF Clinches Thrissur, NDA Surges In Thiruvananthapuram, LDF Leads In Kozhikode
As the first results of the local body elections begin to emerge, early trends indicate a mixed mandate across Kerala today. The United Democratic Front (UDF) is showing a clear advantage in major municipal corporations, while the Left Democratic Front (LDF) appears to be ahead in panchayats.
According to initial counts, the UDF is leading in three municipal corporations, while the LDF is in the lead in one.

In the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, the LDF has secured leads in 15 seats, followed closely by the UDF with 12 seats, while the NDA has made a significant presence with 28 seats. In Kollam Corporation, the contest remains tight, with the LDF leading in 13 seats and the UDF in 12.
Ernakulam Corporation has witnessed a strong performance by the UDF, which is leading in 47 seats, compared to 21 for the LDF and 2 for the NDA.
In Thrissur Corporation, the UDF is ahead with 33 seats, while the LDF has 14 and the NDA 8. In Kozhikode Corporation, the LDF leads with 22 seats, followed by the UDF with 18 and the NDA with 10. Kannur Corporation shows the UDF ahead with 22 seats, while the LDF has 12 and the NDA 3.
Counting is still underway, and the final picture will become clear as more results are declared.
