Owaisi Files Complaint Against Himanta Sarma Over His Violent Video Against Muslims, Seeks Criminal Action
Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has lodged an official complaint with Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City demanding criminal action against Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his now deleted violent video depicting the chief minister pointing gun at Muslims and shooting.
Sharing the complaint letter, the Hyderabad MP lamented that the genocidal hate speech has become a norm. In the complaint, he pointed out that the Assam chief minister has been continuously making statements against Muslim community through social media, print media, public platforms, stages and other arenas.

Owaisi noted that Himanta has intensified deliberately vomiting hatred against Muslims in the recent months to promote enmity and hatred between Hindus and Muslims. He further pointed out that the Supreme Court has held that it is the duty of state and law enforcement authorities to protect fundamental rights, preserve constitutional values and safeguard secular democratic character of the nation.
The AIMIM leader then said he is submitting the latest video of the Assam chief minister which was uploaded in Assam BJP handle that shows him shooting Muslims using a gun. The usage in the video including the point blank shoot, no mercy is deliberate and malicious act intended to outrage religious feelings of Muslims and promote ill-will among communities, Owaisi stated.

In the formal complaint, the MP requested the police to take immediate necessary action against the Assam chief minister as per the law.
