While addressing a Press Conference in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra attacked AAP government on the MP Sanjay Singh’s Delhi excise policy case, and said that the party is engaged in corruption and when questioned they start politics on it.

“AAP MP Sanjay Singh has been arrested by the ED yesterday in a liquor scam case… It is AAP’s character to do corruption openly and when they are caught, they start politics over it…,” Mr Patra said. He then added that the documents procured from Mr Singh’s could point finger to someone “the top in the hierarchy of AAP.”

The central probe agency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), raided Mr. Singh’s house on Wednesday in a money laundering case to the now-scrapped Delhi Liquor Policy case, and hours later he was arrested.

Earlier in March, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia was arrested by the India’s financial crimes agency in the alleged liquor scam.

On Thursday, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, unleashed scathing attack against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and specifically directed his comments towards AAP”s Chief, Arvind Kejriwal. Mr Thakur said that people whom Mr Kejriwal certified as “honest individual” and raised the slogans against corruption are in jail.

Adding further, Minister said: “The kingpin is still out now. His number will also come. Investigation is underway,” Livemint reports.

Similarly, Former Delhi BJP chief and Lok Sabha member Manoj Tiwari remarked, “I believe the ongoing probe will soon reach the threshold of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal,” reports HT.

AAP condemned the arrest and responded to it as a conspiracy against the party. Mr Kejriwal condemned the arrest and said: “The arrest of Sanjay Singh is completely illegal. This shows Modi ji”s nervousness. They will arrest many more opposition leaders till the elections.”
