SKSSF’s Fifth National Conference Concludes In Kolkata

The Samastha Kerala Sunni Students Federation (SKSSF), the student and youth wing of Samastha Kerala Jem-Iyyathul Ulama, held its fifth national conference in Kolkata. The two-day conference, held on September 28 and 29, took place at Haj House in Kolkata’s Newtown, with over a hundred delegates from seventeen states across the country. The conference concluded with a public gathering at the Haj House Portico, attended by hundreds.

The program commenced early on September 28 with a flag hoisting ceremony and included various sessions focused on the organizational setup of the student body, academic assistance, community empowerment, and spiritual talks. The gathering was inaugurated by Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal Panakkad, the founding president of SKSSF. Notable attendees included Sayyid Hameedali Shihab Thangal, Chairman of the SKSSF Supreme Council; Mufti Abdul Matin, General Secretary of All India Sunnat Al Jamayat; Adv. Haris Beeran, IUML leader and Rajya Sabha member; and Hamdullah Saeed, MP from Lakshadweep.

The closing ceremony was inaugurated by Syed Jifri Muthukoya Thangal, with the presence of Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi, Vice Chancellor of Darul Huda Islamic University; Swami Jnanalokananda Ji Maharaj, Secretary of the Ramkrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda Ancestral House and Cultural Centre; and various other leaders.

The 35-year-old student wing also elected its new National Committee for the years 2024-2026. The new office bearers include Sayyid Mueen Thangal Hudawi from Assam as President, Aslam Faizy from Bangalore as General Secretary, Mansoor Hudawi from Kolkata as Working Secretary, along with twenty-five other executive members.
