India Post Office GDS Recruitment 2025 Starts For 21413 Vacancies; Apply Online

India Post has released the notification for the GDS recruitment 2025 for approximately 21413 vacancies of Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak. Candidates can visit the official website – indiapostgdsonline.gov.in to apply online for the given post by March 3. The correction window will be opened from March 6 – 8, 2025.

The vacancies will be filled in AP, Assam, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal region. Notably, the highest number of the total vacancies will be filled in Uttar Pradesh followed by Tamil Nadu.

The application fee for unreserved candidates is Rs 100, and candidates from SC/ST/Female/Transwomen/PwD are exempted from fee payment.

The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the age should not be more than 40 years.

To be eligible for the given posts a candidate must be 10th passed with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognised board of school education by the government of India/State government/Union Territories in India. The applicant have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard from a recognised board.

The pay band for the given services include: BPM – Rs.12,000/- to Rs.29,380/- ABPM/Dak Sevak – Rs.10,000/- to Rs.24,470/-

India Post GDS Recruitment Process

There will not be any entrance examination for this recritment. The selection will be made based on a system-generated merit list. The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in 10th exam. Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will undergo document verification. If required, candidates will also go through a basic medical fitness test.
