UPSC Mains Result 2024 To Be Announced Soon

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will soon announce the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains Results 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can access their results on the official website, upsc.gov.in. However, UPSC has not announced the exact date and time of the exam results, which are expected to be released in December 2024.

The UPSC CSE is conducted in three stages: prelims, mains, and interviews. The mains exam was conducted from September 20 to 29, 2024 in two shifts each day, the morning session from 9 am to 12 pm and the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates who clear the mains will qualify for the next stage, the personal test (interview), scheduled to start in January 2025.

This year the UPSC CSE aims to recommend 1,056 candidates for various services under the central government. UPSC CSE is one of the prestigious exams in the country, which aims to select candidates for the most coveted services including IAS, IFS, IPS, and other Grade A and B positions under central government services.

The interview (personality test) carries 275 marks and plays a decisive role in the UPSC selection process. These marks combined with the marks obtained in mains determine the final rankings of the candidates in the final list.

The UPSC will disclose the prelims cut-off marks and answer keys only after the examination process concludes.

Once the UPSC CSE Mains results are annonced, successful candidates will need to submit their cadre preferences for IAS and IPS through the online DAF-II.
