Kozhikode: 19-Year-Old Man Found Shot Dead In Pantheeramkavu
Kozhikode, Kerala: A 19-year-old student was found shot dead inside his flat in Kozhikode on Tuesday night. The man, a Pantheeramkavu native, was alone in his house when the incident happened.
The deceased, identified as Karthik, was declared dead when rushed to the hospital. The incident took place at around 8 pm on Tuesday, May 26. Police suspect Karthik died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he shotting himself on the upper floor of his house.

Karthik is a B.Tech AD student at Kuttikattur AWH Engineering College, and was a member of the Thondayad Rifle Club. Being a shooting star, Karthik has participated in the national championship three times. The victim was a licensed firearm user and shooting trainee.
The reason behind the alleged suicide is not clear. The body has been shifted to Kozhikode medical college for postmortem procedures. Karthik’s mother Sandeepa, brother Deepak reached the spot after the incident.

Pantheeramkavu Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
