The trade unions, most of which are backed by the ruling left government in the state, have claimed that the Center’s new codes weaken workers’ rights and job security by making it easier for employers to dismiss employees without sufficient justification.

As per the reports from local media, transport services were affected, the government declared dies-non for employees, and several exams were postponed in Kerala. The primary reason for potential closures is the anticipated disruption of state transport and private buses, which makes it difficult for students and staff to reach their destinations.
