Kochi, Kerala: The mother of 15-year-old Mihir Ahammed, who took his own life on January 15, 2025, has shared a shocking video of students celebrating his demise calling him “poopy head”. The video features a cartoon character jumping off into a deep pit.
Mihir’s mother, Rajna, took to social media to share the disturbing video, saying that she was “sharing them with great pain”. She expressed her anguish and anger at the cruelty and inhumanity of the students who were celebrating her son’s death.
She wrote: “As a mother, can you even imagine the amount of pain something like this causes?
The minds of those who are spreading such things related to my son’s death, with such captions, must be extremely cruel. They must be devoid of humanity.
Isn’t this cruelty what took his life? Every time new details about my child’s suffering come out, it’s clearer.
How can children become so cruel? Is this a generation completely alien to love, compassion, mercy, and humanity? Amidst this, my son’s decision to end his life now feels like a natural conclusion…
They called him ‘poopyhead’.

The name is given to someone whose head was flushed in the toilet after being brutally ragged. All of this, and this video — made by a group of students devoid of humanity, turning his death into a symbol confirms one thing. I will continue my fight until he gets justice. Thank you for your support.”
According to Rajna, Mihir was subjected to relentless ragging and bullying by a gang of students at Global Public School, Thiruvaniyoor, where he was a Class 10 student. The bullying took a brutal turn on his last day, when he was allegedly dragged into a school washroom, forced to lick a toilet seat, and had his head flushed in the toilet.
Mihir was forced to play a game where he was made to spread his fingers apart, and instead of using a harmless object, the students’ gang used a knife to poke between the gaps.

Screenshots of a chat group show students celebrating Mihir’s death with messages like, “Fk nigga he died.” Rajna claims the school pressured students to delete evidence and shut down the Justice for Mihir page.
When Rajna confronted the school with evidence, officials merely forwarded her complaint to the police but took no action. A First Information Report (FIR No. 42/2025) was registered at Hill Palace Police Station, but Rajna fears delays could let the accused destroy evidence.
She has also petitioned the Kerala Chief Minister’s Office, the Director General of Police (DGP), and the Child Commission, demanding an impartial probe.
