Trikaripur, established in 1977, has remained a stronghold of the CPM, consistently favouring the Left and giving the LDF a stable political base in the constituency.
All fronts have been active in the final phase of campaigning. The LDF is relying on its strong grassroots presence, while the UDF is attempting to narrow the gap. The NDA continues to have a limited presence.
