Kozhikode, Kerala: A woman, identified as Fousiya Arif recently took to her social media platform Facebook, complaining that she was denied entry to the historical Mishkal Mosque located in Kuttichira, Kozhikode.

“Didn’t they allow Sunita Williams?” Fousiya asked in her mind, thinking she would also be allowed to go inside the mosque and see the historic site. However, she was denied permission, leaving her disappointed.

Though I had been to space many times via Facebook, I was still not allowed to enter, the woman hilariously noted, while registering her protest.  “At least historical monuments should have doors that can be opened without distinction between men and women,” Fousiya wrote on Facebook.
