Congress' Bachhav Shobha Dinesh Wins From Dhule Lok Sabha Constituency

Bachhav Shobha Dinesh, Congress candidate won from the Dhule Lok Sabha constituency with 5,83,866 votes. She defeated the BJP candidate Subhash Ramrao with a vote margin of 3,831 votes.

BJP Candidate Subhash Ramrao Bhumre, an oncologist by profession has served as a Minister of State of Defence from 2016 to 2019. He has won the Lok Sabha seat thrice. The 2014 elections were the first time, Subhash came into fray.

He was one of the ‘non-political’ personalities contested by the BJP in the elections. As a parliamentarian he has served as the member of the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare, a member of the Consultative Committee on the Ministry of Railways, and a member of the Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes.

Congress nominated candidate Bachhav Shobha Dinesh was earlier elected as the MLA from the Nashik central state assembly constituency in 2004. In her last term, in 2009, she was inducted as the minister of state for health, food and civic supplies. The Bahujan Samaj Party has fielded Zahoor Md. Yusuf as its candidate.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Dr Subhash Ramrao of the BJP won the election with 529,450 votes. Congress candidate Amarishbhai Rasiklal Patel came second with 398,727 votes.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s Subhash Ramrao won the election by securing 613,533 votes. Congress’ Kunal Rohidas Patil came second with 384,290 votes.

The trend shows that the Maha Vikas Agadhi has toppled the exit poll results and is leading in the state sweeping majority of the seats.
