India alliance Jai Prakash emerged victorious with 570,424 votes, defeating his closest contender by a margin of 63,381 votes. Jai Prakash represented the Hisar constituency of Haryana and is a member of the Congress political party. He served as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Petroleum and Chemicals in Chandra Shekhar’s cabinet. He was a member of the 9th, 11th, and 14th Lok Sabha.

Hisar, a major Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana, has undergone a riveting electoral contest marked by the intra-family of the prominent Chautala clan. Amidst their political affiliations, three members of the Chautala family emerged as key contenders.

Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) MLA Naina Chautala, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) candidate Sunaina Chautala, and BJP’s Ranjit Singh Chautala fiercely competed for representation in Hisar.

The 2019 General Assembly Elections in Hisar marked a 72.39% voter turnout, indicative of active political engagement. BJP candidate Brijendra Singh secured victory with a substantial margin of 314,068 votes, receiving 603,289 votes.
