Vipul Goel of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a decisive victory with 93,651 votes surpassing his closest competitor Lakhhan Kumar Singla of Congress, by 48,388 votes in the Faridabad constituency in Haryana. Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) candidate Pravesh Mehta lost by 92,725 votes. Vipul Goel has made several contributions to the state of Haryana including winning the 2014 Haryana Legislative Assembly election, defeating Anand Kaushik of the Indian National Congress.
As the chairman of Navchetna Trust, he was instrumental in hoisting the world’s largest and tallest Indian flag on March 3, 2015, alongside BJP President Amit Shah, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Actor Ranbir Kapoor. Additionally, he launched a free WiFi service in the Sector 15 market of Faridabad in January 2016.
