BJP’s Pradeep Purohit wins Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency of Odisha with a massive lead. With a lead of 2,51,667 votes, Pradip leads the constituency by securing total vote of 7,16,359 votes so far. Parinita Mishra from BJD is in the second place, having secured 464692 votes.
In the recent 2019 Assembly Election, the BJD emerged victorious in Bargarh Parliament Constituency, securing 7 MLAs. They established a dominant presence in the constituency. However, Pradeep managed to overcome the odds and emerged victorious, clinching the Lok Sabha seat.
Pradeep Purohit is a dedicated full-time politician with a multifaceted background as a social worker, politician, and farmer. His political journey is marked by his tenure as a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly in the 2014 election, He was elected from Padampur constituency under the banner of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His background in agriculture and his personal experience as a farmer allow him to connect with, and understand the issues faced by the agricultural sector, which is a vital part of the economy in Odisha.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Suresh Pujari from the BJP party emerged victorious with 577,074 votes in Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency, defeating Prasanna Acharya from the BJD party. The margin of victory was 60,845 votes.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Prabhas Kumar Singh of the BJD party secured victory with 382,890 votes, surpassing Subash Chouhan from the BJP party. The margin of victory was 11,779 votes.
