In the triangular battle of Karimganj, Kripanath Mallah secured the victory securing 5,06,122 votes, declaring his win against Hafiz Rashid Ahmed of Congress.
Fielded against Hafiz Rashid Ahmed of Congress, Shahbul Islam Choudary of AIUDF, and BJP with its sitting MP Kripanth Mallah, the Karimganj constituency has faced a tough battle as the election proceeded.
And now the election results being announced, Karimganj is witnessing the progress of the BJP party as the candidate Kripanath Mallah is leading with 4,93,376 votes, pushing back Hafiz Rashid Ahmed of Congress, who has secured 4,81,036 votes so far.
Kripanth Mallah’s political journey started with his commitment to community service and grassroots development by winning the Goan panchayat presidency. He established his political influence in the Ratabari constituency by securing his seat in the 2016 election. He won the 2019 Lok Sabha election by contesting in the Karimganj constituency by securing a total of 473046 votes, which was 44.62% of the total votes, defeating the AIUDF candidate Radheshyam Biswas with almost 38389 vote differences.
Looking at the political dynamics of the constituency, the BJP party had been rooted in the constituency through its two consecutive wins in the past two Lok Sabha elections with Kripanath Mallah contesting on the party’s ticket.
