Founded by former executives of NDTV, a media SaaS platform called Frammer AI has secured a $2 million (around Rs 16.8 crore) seed investment from venture capital firm Lumikai, which focuses on interactive media and gaming.
The startup company, launched around a year ago by former NDTV employees: Suparna Singh, Arijit Chatterjee, and Kawaljit Singh Bedi, offers an AI-powered studio that helps convert long-form content into engaging and monetizable shorts.

“The need for – and interest in – short-form video has never been higher. We’re thrilled to hear from clients that Frammer is creating larger audiences for them by utilising all their videos to their fullest potential,” said Singh, former CEO-President of NDTV and current CEO and Co-Founder of Frammer AI.
The Delhi-based firm shortens all videos into highly discoverable and monetizable content in an instant. It processes large volumes of video, generates meta-data automatically, and makes the short videos digital ready with one person reviewing the whole process.
Frammer AI serves clients both in India and the United States, including notable broadcasters such as The India Today Group and Zee News and corporations such as ACKO Insurance. Frammer AI was recently named the AI content partner for US-listed firm Brightcove, which provides streaming services to publishers.
The seed investment will be used to help Frammer expand into sports and entertainment, strengthen its tech team, and improve data training in key areas, the company said in a statement.
