Haris Beeran Muslim League Rajya Sabha Candidate; Nomination Papers Submit In The Evening

Advocate Haris Beeran has been selected as the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat. This was announced by Muslim League state president Sadiqali Shihab after the state leadership meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram. The Nomination papers will be submitted on Monday evening.

In the context of the League’s third demand for one more seat in the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has announced that it will give a winnable seat to the UDF in the three vacant Rajya Sabha seats. Apart from Abdul Wahab, the League will also have a Rajya Sabha member by winning this. This would bring the number of League MPs to five, including three in the Lok Sabha.

League state general secretary P.M.A. Salam, Muslim Youth League National General Secretary Adv. V.K. Faisal Babu and State General Secretary P.K. Feroze reported being actively considered for the post. However, it is indicated that Sadiqali Thangal is sticking to the name of Haris Beeran.

Earlier, many reports confirmed that Advocate Haris Beeran would be preferred to be the Rajya Sabha candidate chosen for  IUML regardless of the opposition from the active political workers in Kerala.
