Australian Deputy Prime Minister To Attend World Cup Final In Gujarat

As said by the Australian Ministry of Defence, Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles will fly to India to attend the Cricket World Cup Final. Mr Marles will join Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the match scheduled between India and Australia in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on November 19.

He was earlier gifted a cricket bat by India”s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The bat was signed by Indian player Virat Kohli. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other eminent personalities including major celebrities and ‘stars’ of the nation will also attend the match.

To enthral the celebration, the Indian Air Force’s Suryakiran team is all set to perform aerobatic displays ahead of the matches. The pre-match airshow will begin by 1.35 in the afternoon and presents an enchanting experience till 1.50 pm. A video of the rehearsal had already surfaced on social media and went viral. The show will definitely add colour to the closing match of the prestigious tournament.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday released the full list of events and celebrities that would add the grand extravaganza of the mega-match. The two former World Cup-winning captains Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni will be among the audience for the world’s largest of entertainment. During the first innings drinks break Coke Studio”s Gujarati singing sensation Aditya Gadhavi of “Gotilo” fame will perform.

Bollywood music composer Pritam, singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Akasa Joshi, Tushar Joshi and Amit Mishra will entertain a 1.3 lakh crowd during the innings break. 500 dancers from Mumbai adds colour and mark mesmerising steps to popular Bollywood numbers.

The BCCI will also present a special blazer to all World Cup-winning captains from 1975 to 2019. West Indies Clive Lloyd (1975 and 1979 World Cup-winning captain), India”s Kapil Dev (1983 World Cup-winning captain), Australia”s Allan Border (1987 World Cup-winning captain), Australia”s Steve Waugh (1999 World Cup-winning captain), Ricky Ponting (2003 and 2007 World Cup-winning captain), India”s MS Dhoni (2011 World Cup-winning captain), Australia”s Michale Clarke (2015 World Cup-winning captain), England”s Eoin Morgan (2019 World Cup-winning captain) have all been invited, reports Hindustan Times.

However, there was no clarity on whether Sri Lanka”s 1996 World Cup-winning captain, Arjuna Ranatunga and Pakistan”s 1992 World Cup-winning captain, Imran Khan were invited or not.
