India’s former team captain and coach Ravi Shastri said on Friday that in the upcoming ICC World Cup final India will win the match against Australia. The final match is scheduled to be held on Sunday in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Just before the historic clash, Shastri made this promising comment. He added that the team doesn’t have to do anything different. “I think they will be relaxed. They are playing at home, and it”s a very experienced side. And they don”t need to do anything different.”

“The way they have played…. it will be around the way they had left in the last game. They should be holding that cup very soon.

He praised their outstanding performance in the tournament and said they will start as favourite in the finals.

Even though India has managed to secure a win against Australia during the group stage, they are expected to face pressure during the title clash against the five-time champs.

But Ravi Shastri assured that if the Men in Blue win to maintain composure and handle pressure effectively, they have the potential to emerge as victorious. “You don’t want to be over-excited just because its final”.

He then pointed out that the good thing of the team is that they do not depend on one or two players. “There are eight or nine players performing game after game, so that’s a brilliant sign”.

The former Indian all-rounder also praised the stupendous performance displayed by fast-bowler Mohammed Shami. He now leads the bowling chart with 23 wickets. He also opined that Shami will have a greater role in the finals. He then wished good look to the batters who will have to face Shami in the finals. He will surely trouble the batsman with his skills, he added.

“I say this is the best Indian bowling attack. When you look at the variety and skill set, its amazing”, Ravi Shastri said.
