Argentina will face Colombia for the Copa America 2024 title in the final at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Sunday.
Jefferson Lerma’s goal in the 39th minute and Colombia’s game with one man short in the second half resulted in a 1-0 win over Uruguay on Wednesday night.

This Sunday match will mark the first major final the Cafeteros has played since they won the Copa at home in 2001.
In the semi-final, the first half was thrilling, featuring a goal, a red card and an injury. Colombia extended its unbeaten streak to a team record 28 games, one more than from 1992-94 and the longest current streak in men’s international soccer.
Daniel Munoz was ejected in first-half stoppage time for his second yellow card, but Colombia held on to reach the final for the first time since winning its only Copa title as host in 2001.
The contentious match included seven yellow cards and one red, players from both teams pushed and shoved in a scrum on the field at the final whistle. Darwin Nunez and about a dozen Uruguay teammates went into the stands as fans brawled.
Argentina is seeking a record 16th Copa title and is looking to join Spain from 2008-12 as the only country to win three straight major championships.

Both the teams played each other in the semi-finals of the 2021 Copa America where the match went to penalty kicks and Emiliano Martinez saved three penalty kicks to bring Argentina to the final.
