In a recent interview with La Sexta, the French captain Kylian Mbappé had dismissed all rumours suggesting a division in the Real camp. While discussing his relationship with Vinicius, the Real striker said, “The relationship is very good, it’s normal for people to talk about us, about two famous players who make a difference, but I came with the idea of playing with Vinicius.
“I can’t imagine a Real Madrid without Vini. We play well, we can be better. People expect more from us and that’s normal. We’re good together and it’s the most important part of the season. We’re going to try to help Madrid win as much as we can.”

Mbappé’s arrival to the club from Paris Saint-Germain last summer had sparked debate suggesting that Vinicius would leave the team, as the Brazil international was attracting more interest from Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, sharing his take on joining Blancos — a club he watched as a boy — following his idols Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo, he never had to doubt his decision, despite the possibility of earning more money elsewhere.
“I have no problems talking about money, but there are more important things. I wanted to play for Real Madrid,” Mbappé said. “Money is important, but for me the most important thing is being happy on the pitch and in life.”
The French international also discussed his revelation that he would hit “rock bottom” after struggling earlier in the season, culminating in a missed penalty against Athletic Club.

“I know people and teammates who’ve had depression. I wasn’t playing well, but it wasn’t for mental health reasons,” Mbappé said. “I didn’t like it when people said that, because it’s a serious subject … In Bilbao I hit rock bottom in a sporting sense, not a mental one.”
France international Mbappé had become another ‘Galactico’ at Santiago Bernabéu during the summer of 2024.
