India is all set to take down the five-time champs in the ICC World Cup finals 2023 which will take place in the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Last time meet with Australia hasn’t gone well for India, as they were defeated for 125 runs in the 2003 World Cup finals.

But things are different this time, India has emerged as the unbeatable in this series of tournament. All games played was won with an impressive score. All individual players have set their own trademark in the games. But that’s not the case for Australia, they have lost two games in the series. Australia entered finals after defeating South Africa in a breathtaking match on Thursday in Kolkata by 3 wickets.

India met Australia 13 times in ODI format and Australia leads with eight wins. Though the Aussies still have the winning touch on the big occasions, currently Rohit Sharma’s team India are at the pinnacle of their game. Both the team have a balanced team and pretty assured playing 11 ahead of this clash. And it is widely predicted that India will emerge as victorious as they have managed to keep up a fine form throughout the tournament. The unwavering support which the team is going to receive at the stadium in the finals will be an another great factor to get hold of their third World Cup title. Numerous predictions are now circulating in the newspapers and social media, several pundits and analysts sharing their knowledge. One pre-tournament prediction is made by Australia star Mitchell Marsh is phenomenal.

Marsh predicted that about six months ago that Australia would meet India in the finals, reports mint. According to him, Australia will emerge as winner after folding India for just 65 in the final.

But the pressure on the Indian team will be the biggest obstacle in India’s way and they haven’t been significantly tested at any stage in the tournament. When chasing, they have always had at least four wickets in hand. While only New Zealand have got within 100 runs of a total posted by the Indian batting lineup.
