Sania Mirza Divorced Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik, Says The Tennis Star’s Father
Amid speculations about Sania Mirza’s divorce from the Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik, after Malik announced his marriage with the Pakistani actress Sana Javed, Indian tennis star Sania Mirza’s father Imran today (Saturday) said that his daughter Sania Mirza has divorced her husband. He said that she opted for “Khula”, which is the Muslim woman’s right to seek divorce from her husband similar to Talaq as the right of a Muslim man to seek divorce from his wife. Imran was responding to the Shoaib Malik marriage with the Pakistan actress Sana Javed. Malik announced that he has tied the knot with the Pakistani actress. Both were for long rumoured to be in a relationship and there was also gossip about Malik’s separation from Sania.
Though both remained silent over the speculations so far, an obscure post shared on Instagram indicated the potential separation between the two. Sania Mirza has not spoken about the speculations yet. However, on the wedding day of Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed, they shared snippets of their ceremony on Instagram, with the Pakistan actress changing her bio from Sana Javed to Sana Shoaib Malik.

The rumours about the relationship between the Malik and Sana started when Malik wished the Pakistani actress on her birthday, sharing a photo of them being together. The actress had divorced her husband Umair Jaswal, a singer, in 2023. However, Malik had not made any indications of the divorce as the cricket star had even last year wrote a note, appreciating the Indian tennis star on her achievement when she played her last Grand Slam match at the Australian Open.
