Rohit Sharma received a rousing welcome from close friends at his Mumbai residence on arrival from Barbados after leading Team India to the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph.
The Team India captain was greeted by a huge fanfare outside his apartment and was later welcomed by his brother and close friends, including his young Mumbai Indians teammate Tilak Verma, in grand style. The bunch of close friends present to welcome the Team India captain wore a white jersey with ‘You Believe in KARMA, We believe in SHARMA’, written on it.

The Team India captain arrived at his residence after a long-day of celebration after reaching that started after the T20 World Champions reached New Delhi from Barbados in the early hours of Thursday.
Following the arrival, the members of the Team India squad went to meet PM Narendra Modi at his residence before reaching Mumbai for the open-top bus parade and felicitation ceremony at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
He delivered his career-best performance at the T20 World Cup 2024, scoring 257 runs in eight matches at an average of 36.71 and strike rate of over 156. Sharma registered the highest score of 92 and scored three half-centuries to become the second highest run-scorer in the marquee event.
