Apple Intelligence generative AI tools which is a future update in Apple, iPhone mirroring, and features like SharePlay screen might not be available in the European Union (EU) for the time being. A Bloomberg report stated that the company may not make those features available this year. The decision arose because of the regulatory uncertainties of the bloc’s Markets Act antitrust ordinance.
The DMA (EU’s Digital Market Act) requirements said that those gatekeepers should allow third-party companies to exchange and use information with their services which would force them to risk privacy and security. It will lead the company to compromise the integrity of its products, according to reports.

The features will be available in the US this year, but Apple may delay its launch in Europe on account of the EU rules demanding the company to allow other rival products to function in its devices. Apple had released information regarding the AI feature and others at the WWDC keynote conference a few days back which would function after a couple of months.
Apple said in a statement, “The company commits to collaborate with the EU in an attempt to find a remedy that would help us to allow those features to our customers without risking their privacy and security.” In June, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook assured the users that devices’ upcoming features will be confined within the personal context just like your operandi stick to your communications and relationships.

Apple Intelligence, which complies with the company’s in-house technology, will give capabilities to its devices to create their emojis based on their needs and help users to complete everyday tasks and professional requirements from their transcribes generating descriptions in informal language to established forms and conversations.
The European Commission (EU) has positioned Apple as a gatekeeper under the DMA about iOS, App Store and Safari on 6 September 2023. Apple announced the changes to iOS, Safari and the App Store to comply with the DMA in January 2024.
