Google has just updated its NotebookLM app with some cool new features that you can now talk to AI podcast hosts and ask them questions in real-time.

This is made possible by the app’s Audio Overview feature which lets you turn your documents into audio discussions with AI hosts.


To use this new feature, all you need to do is open NotebookLM create a new Audio Overview and tap on the Interactive mode button.

Once the AI hosts start talking, you can press the “Join” button and ask them questions. One of the hosts will let you ask questions and answer them based on your sources.


NotebookLM is also getting a new look with a redesigned user interface. The app is now organised into three panels: Sources, Chat and Studio.

The Studio panel lets you create new things from your sources, like study guides, briefing documents and audio overviews with just one click.

Google is also introducing a new subscription plan called NotebookLM Plus. This plan offers some great perks, like more audio overviews, notebooks and sources per notebook. You’ll also be able to customise the style and length of your notebooks and create shared notebooks.
