One of the most used food delivery apps in India Zomato has introduced various features in the last 6 months as Deepinder Goyal, the cofounder and CEO of Zomato, said that the company is gearing toward development and has been in the race to keep pace with the changing lifestyle of every citizen. Since the food tech major rolled out a handful of features, let’s look at the major tools that have been released on the food app so far.

The app has recently introduced Zomato for Enterprise (ZFE) to offer effortless bookings through business accounts focused on corporates. This will help platform people working at various companies to solve food expense management. The CEO Goyal, posted on X that the new platform will allow employees to simply bill their business orders directly to their employer without having to pay in advance.


Earlier this week, Zomato unveiled another tool that the user can schedule order feature on its app. This new feature is now live at several restaurants across Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and other major cities for orders above Rs 1000. This will help users to plan their meals better by placing an order up to 2 days in advance, and the food delivery plan offers to deliver right on time.

The company has rolled out a new Group Ordering feature to ease the process of food ordering together with family, friends and colleagues. This new feature was released in early August that allows users to share a link with others enabling them to add items to the cart. The new feature is designed to simplify the process of ordering food for groups to easily add multiple items to a single order and manage individual preferences.

In July, Zomato announced that the company is planning to begin home delivery of low-alcohol drinks. States such as New Delhi, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Goa, and Kerala are considering pilot projects for this initiative. The company is constantly trying to make the food app designed with new features every other day it follows and constantly observes how the eating patterns and lifestyles of Indian citizens have changed to date.
