The popular food delivery company, Zomato has rolled out a new Group Ordering feature to ease the process of food ordering together with family, friends and colleagues. This new feature will allow users to share a link with others enabling them to add items to the cart.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal announced this feature stating that users can now share their link with friends and everyone to make food ordering a cakewalk.

The new feature is designed to simplify the process of ordering food for groups, allowing users to easily add multiple items to a single order and manage individual preferences. This update is seen as a significant improvement, particularly for users who frequently order food for large groups or teams. Many X users posted expressing their excitement about the new update as it will make food ordering easy and hassle-free. Apart from that, a user commented that he suggests rolling out a payment-splitting feature to share payments for group orderings. Mr Goyal responded that the company is planning to introduce the much-needed payment-splitting feature ‘super duper soon.’


Earlier in April, Zomato introduced India’s “first large order fleet” for big orders which is designed to handle all the large orders for groups parties or events with ease. The fleet will be all-electric and has been designed specifically to serve orders for a gathering of up to 50 people.
