Iran Executed Mossad Spy Amid Escalated Tension With Israel
Amidst rising tensions between Iran and Israel, the Tehran judiciary on Monday said that it had hanged a man arrested in 2023 and convicted of being a spy for Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency. Authorities identified the executed man as Email Fekri.
Fekri was arrested in December 2023 during a complex intelligence operation. The authorities alleged that he had kept close contact with two Mossad officers and attempted to share classified national security information with Israeli intelligence.

According to Iran Front Page, he was reportedly instructed to create a secure communication channel and set up a cryptocurrency wallet for financial transactions. Officials were able to track down the detailed communications and instructions he had received from Mossad by conducting forensic analysis of electronic devices.
The Supreme Court, after reviewing the initial ruling, upheld the verdict. Following the completion of all legal procedures, Fekri’s sentence was carried out.
The execution was carried out under Iran’s penal code, which permits capital punishment for individuals convicted of espionage, particularly in cases involving foreign intelligence services.
The case reflects ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, whose intelligence agencies have long been engaged in covert operations and counterintelligence activities across the region.
Over the past few years, Iranian officials have arrested a number of people on suspicion of spying for Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency following its latest aggression against the country. Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran on Friday morning, which reportedly wiped out the top echelon of Iran’s military command and damaged its nuclear sites.
