The now-former director of the New York office of the UN (United Nations) High Commissioner for Human Rights, Craig Mokhiber, submitted his resignation recently, citing UN’s failure to prevent the attacks of Israel on the Palestinian people. According to him, Israel is carrying out a ‘genocide’ of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. He also accused the western powers including the US and UK for encouraging Israel’s assault on Gaza and providing diplomatic cover for it. “The genocide we are witnessing in Palestine is the product of decades of Israeli impunity provided by the US and other western governments”, he said.
The #genocide we are witnessing in #Palestine is the product of decades of Israeli #impunity provided by the US & other western governments & decades of #dehumanization of the Palestinian people by western corporate media. Both must end now. Speak up for #HumanRights
