Amid heavy bombardment in Gaza, Israel forces targeted the International Red Cross humanitarian aid convoy, says Palestinian Red Crescent. Staff members of Doctors Without Borders were killed in Gaza, and MSF (Medecins Sans Frontiers/Doctors Without Borders) called for an action to “stop bloodshed”. The staffs lost their lives during the bombing in the Shati refugee camp. Israel Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said that the Israel troops have entered in the “heart of Gaza city” as the countries operation to destroy Hamas continues.
The UN has confirmed that all bakeries in the north of Gaza are shut down completely due to lack of fuel, water and wheat flour. Majority of the bakeries were also reported damaged. They have also added that wheat flour will not be available in the north as the aid organisations were unable to deliver any food to the area for seven days.
Meanwhile, in South, only nine bakeries are still “intermittently” open, providing bread to shelters when flour and fuel are available, reports Al Jazeera.
The Israel military troop says its fighting in the ‘depths’ of Gaza city after encircling the northern part of the besieged Palestinian enclave. Netanyahu’s recent comment on TV saying that Israel will have “overall security responsibility” in Gaza “for an indefinite period” after its war with Hamas indicates Israel’s plan to take over the Gaza strip which is home for 2.3 million Palestinians, reports AP.
But Hamas spokesperson Ghazi Hamad, speaking on Tuesday from Beirut has denied the Israel forces progression in the Gaza city and there claim to be in the heart of Gaza city. He then said that they never give the truth outside and added that several of the Israel soldiers were killed and tanks destroyed on Monday.
The White House on Tuesday reiterated that President Joe Biden does not support Israel’s move to have complete occupation over the Gaza strip. White House Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that he would leave it to Netanyahu to clarify what he meant by “indefinite” control of Gaza’s security.
“There needs to be a healthy set of conversations about what post conflict Gaza looks like and what governance looks like,” Kirby told reporters. “What we absolutely agree with our Israeli counterparts on is what it can’t look like, and it can’t look like it looked on October 6.”
The Human Rights Watch (HRW) has called for an investigation on the Israel army’s strike on ambulance outside Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza on November 3 as “it is a possible crime”.
HRW has claimed in the statement released that they have verified video footages and photographs taken shortly after the strike and have interviewed a witness to the attack. And they ruled out the Israeli army spokesperson’s claim that the ambulance was used for military purposes.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society has said that a medic and an ambulance driver was among the people who were injured in the strike.
Since October 7, at least 10,328 Palestinians are killed in Israel airstrikes.
