Israel has launched ground invasion in southern Lebanon saying that the operations are based on precise intelligence and are focused on specific targets in villages near the border. As per media report, at least four Israeli soldiers were killed and nearly 20 were injured.

Reportedly, the Israeli soldiers are hurt during the fight with Hezbollah. The report suggests that there are about 20 ambulances waiting in the north of Israel to receive soldiers that are being evacuated from the Lebanese border area by helicopter.

The southern area where Israel started ground incursion were hit with huge barrage of missiles from Lebanon.

Earlier, Israeli military said that there were intense clashes at the border between Israel soldiers and Hezbollah forces. The statement was confirmed by Hezbollah as well, marking the first face-to-face fight since the launch of the ground invasion.

As per Al Jazeera report, the Israeli military has sustained heavy casualties during the first confrontation with Hezbollah.

According to Lebanese media Al Mayadeen, the Israeli Occupation Force (IOF) attempted to enter Odaisseh region, but were caught in a “well planned” ambush when they reached the barbed wire. All the wounded soldiers were evacuated from this scene through helicopters, said the report.

Meanwhile, after the attack from Iran, Yemen’s Houthis said they fired projectiles “deep inside” Israel “in support of both the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples”. No confirmation from Israeli officials has been released on the matter.

The Houthi military’s spokesman Yahya Saree said the “missiles successfully hit their targets”. He also said that the Houthis “ will not hesitate to widen our operations against the Israeli enemy or those backing them until the war on Gaza and Lebanon is halted and siege laid to Gaza is lifted”.

Reports also suggest that Israel has asked citizens not to share the location of the area that were hit by Iran, and others including latest Houthi attack.
