PM Modi Talks To Israel’s Netanyahu, Shares “Concerns On The Safety Of Maritime Traffic”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked to Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and “had a productive exchange of views on the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict”. According to a social media post by PM Modi, both the leaders shared their concerns on the safety of maritime traffic.

In the telephone conversation on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s emphasis to support the peaceful resolution of the ongoing conflict. Since October 7, the number of human casualties has been rising to 19,667 in Gaza, according to the latest reports.

”Highlighted India’s consistent stand in favour of early restoration of peace & stability in the region with continued humanitarian assistance for the affected,” PM Modi tweeted.

The Houthis have been targeting vessels, especially the ones that are heading to Israel or have a link with the country. The Houthis have already attacked several ships in the Red Sea and have threatened further attacks on ships linked to Israel.
