Careem, a leading multi-service app of Middle East, has introduced a new way to support the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and aims to create a “lasting impact”. As the “humanitarian support for Palestine”, the app is delivering a unique T-shirt that features a watermelon slice – “a symbol of hope and solidarity for Palestine. Complete profits from the new ‘Tees for Gaza’ will go to Gaza. Ten T-shirts are available for 100 AED.
The “exclusive T-shirts” are now available on Qulk groceries and 100 percentage of the profits will for Emirates Red Crescent’s Tarahum – for Gaza directly. The ‘Tees for Gaza’ is a new method adding to the global protest against the brutal Israeli aggression on Palestine and call for immediate ceasefire.
Careem, the everything app has earlier donated AED 2 million ($540,000) as a relief fund for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They also opening up relief campaign to customers in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. Careem is known for its charity and social impact programmes. In 2021, the app has introduced a new feature that enables the customers to directly donate the UN World Food Programmes in Gaza and West Bank through the app. The app has generated $4.2 million in the past three years for supporting humanitarian initiatives, said media report. From Morocco to Pakistan, the app operates in 70 cities across 10 countries.
