Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the BAPS Hindu Mandir in the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abu Dhabi on February 14. The invitation has been extended by Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas, representatives of the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) on December 28.

The BAPS delegation met PM Modi at his residential office in New Delhi and invited him. Prime Minister graciously accepted the invitation; “Delighted by this gesture, Prime Minister Modi graciously accepted the invitation, expressing his enthusiastic support for the historic and iconic temple,” the press statement from the the BAPS Sanstha read.

The meeting lasted for an hour and BAPS representatives added that before the closure, the Prime Minister shared his personal vision for greater spiritual growth and India’s emergence as a global leader.

On Thursday, UAE’s Ambassador to India Abdulnasser Alshaali said that they were looking forward to the inauguration of the temple on February.

“We are looking forward to the inauguration on February 14… it”s going to be a phenomenal monumental day, a special occasion to celebrate tolerance, acceptance, and to further strengthen this relationship,” PTI quotes as the UAE’s Ambassador is saying.

The ambassador has also added that a grand diaspora gathering titled, Ahlan Modi,” which translates to “Hello Modi” is scheduled at the Sheikh Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi on February 13.

Meanwhile, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 on Wednesday. Alongside, on the basis of “Two Nations, One Vision,” the UAE-India Business Summit has been conducted.

The BAPS Hindu Mandir started the construction in 2019, and it planned to accommodate about 10,000 people.
