West Asia Conflict Hits Home: Domestic LPG Price Hiked By Rs 60
New Delhi: Indian gas companies have increased the price of domestic cooking gas LPG on Saturday, March 7, by Rs 60 per cylinder, while the non-subsidised LPG will now see a Rs 913 hike per 14.2 kg per 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi. The non-subsidised gas is the one that common household users other than the poor Ujjwala beneficiaries use in their kitchens, as per the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) website.
The website shows the price hike would be effective from March 7. The latest increase in gas price marks the second in the last 11 months, as the price of LPG was hiked by Rs 50 in April 2025.

The development comes amid the ongoing West Asian conflict that has adversely hit several energy facilities in the region. Non-subsidised LPG now costs Rs 912.50, Rs 939 in Mumbai and Kolkata while Rs 928.50 in Chennai.
The price of the gas differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local sales tax or VAT. However, Prices for Ujjwala, the over 10 crore connections given to the poor, remain unchanged.
