Republican Presidential candidate of America, Vivek Ramaswamy made it to the headline once again when Indian descent American was questioned about how his Hindu faith will play out if he becomes President of the Christian majority population of America.
While talking during the CNN Townhall on Thursday, a lowa voter, Gunny Mitchell asked Ramaswamy how he will respond to the assertion that he cannot be the “President because your religion does not align with what or founding fathers based our country on?”, and Vivek Ramaswamy answered that he is a Hindu and he will not fake his identity. “Hinduism and Christianity share the same value set in common,” he said.
He further remarked that based on his religious beliefs he understands everyone’s moral obligations and all are equal. He also put forward the common aspects between Hinduism and Christianity. He went on about what his parents taught about how sacred marriage is, “families are cornerstone of society” and “adultery is wrong” and asked whether those values were “not form elsewhere?”.
The businessman turned politician admitted that he may not be a best choice for a President that would spread Christianity, but said that he “stand for values that America was founded on”.
The 38-year-old multi millionaire has bagged himself a place in the list of 20 youngest millionaires in the country, according to Forbes. He is known for his shocking and radical statements is following the similar hardline political stance of former US President Donald Trump.
With his own “beliefs” and “truths”, Vivek Ramaswamy hopes to win the Presidential election of the United States that was scheduled for November 5, 2024.
