Dausa (Rajasthan), April 15: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi today said that the real truth behind the black money has finally been revealed through the Electoral Bonds.

She also warned that these elections were not about any particular party, but saving the constitution as the BJP was bent on changing the constitution as was often being said by its leaders with due knowledge of the Prime Minister Modi.

Addressing a public rally in support of the party candidate Murari Lal from Dausa here today, Priyanka Gandhi said, the Prime Minister had lost all his credibility after lying so much repeatedly during the last ten years.

Earlier she led a spectacular road show in Alwar in support of the party candidate Lalit Yadav.

She pointed out, ten years ago, Modi had promised to bring back the black money stashed in foreign banks. But, she remarked, the truth of the black money has come out after so many years through the electoral bonds.

“Chanda do, dhanda lo” (give donation and get your work done), she remarked, while alleging how the BJP collected money through electoral bonds by allotting big contracts to business houses.

She said, not only that, the investigating agencies were used against the donors and inquiries opened against them and the moment they made the donations, inquiries were stopped. She said Modi was doing everything to stay in power.

Ms Gandhi questioned the double speak of the Prime Minister, saying on the one hand he swore by the constitution and on the other hand he was making the BJP leaders to speak about changing the constitution.

She warned that in case the constitution is changed, everything will be lost. She said, the country progressed because of the constitution as people got equal rights and they became aware about everything.

Suggesting that the things like changing the country’s constitution were deliberately circulated to divert the public attention from pressing issues like rising prices and unemployment, Priyanka Gandhi cautioned people to become aware about their own welfare.

The Congress General Secretary said that the Modi government has waived off the loans worth lakhs of crores of rupees of big billionaires, but not of the farmers and they were forced to commit suicide.

Referring to the Agnipath scheme of recruitment in defence forces, she said, Modi had betrayed lakhs of youth across the country who wanted to serve the nation. She said, once Congress forms the government, the Agnipath scheme will be scrapped and the old system of recruitment restored.

The Congress general secretary listed some other prominent schemes including legal guarantee for the MSP for farmers, immediately filling 30 lakh vacancies in various government departments, 50 percent reservation for women in government jobs and other things.

Among those present included AICC in charge for Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, PCC President Govind Singh Dotasara, senior leaders Sachin Pilot and Jitendra Singh.
