GT Texa Electric Bike Launch: Exploring Specs and Features

GT Force, a Gurgaon-based EV manufacturing startup, has entered the electric motorcycle market in India with the launch of its debut model, the GT Texa. Priced at Rs 1,19,555 (ex-showroom), the GT Texa marks the company’s foray into sustainable mobility solutions.

The GT Texa features a sturdy BLDC motor with high insulation, allowing it to attain a maximum speed of 80 kmph. This motor draws its power from a 3.5 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack, delivering an impressive range of 120-130 km on a single charge. Charging convenience is enhanced with an onboard micro charger featuring auto-cut functionality, capable of fully charging the battery in 4-5 hours. With a load capacity of 180 kg and the ability to handle gradients up to 18 degrees, the GT Texa promises both efficiency and performance.

In terms of design and build, the GT Texa rides on 80-100/18 front and 120-80/17 rear tubeless tires mounted on alloy wheels. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both wheels, supported by E-ABS (Electronic Anti-lock Braking System). Suspension duties are managed by front telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a balanced and comfortable ride. The motorcycle features a seat height of 770mm and a ground clearance of 180mm, with a total weight of 120 kg (kerb).

Highlighting its technological prowess, the GT Texa is equipped with a modern suite of features including a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, remote start/stop functionality, central locking system, and LED lighting for headlights, taillights, and turn signals. Riders can choose from three different ride modes tailored to various riding conditions, enhancing versatility and adaptability on the road.

GT Force has ambitious plans for expansion, aiming to establish 100 dealership showrooms nationwide by the end of the year. This strategic move is expected to bolster accessibility and support for customers interested in electric mobility solutions.

With the launch of the GT Texa, GT Force demonstrates its commitment to advancing electric vehicle technology in India, catering to the growing demand for eco-friendly and efficient transportation options. The motorcycle’s blend of performance, features, and affordability positions it competitively in the evolving electric two-wheeler market, promising a compelling choice for environmentally conscious riders and urban commuters alike.
