Kia is prepared to introduce the Syros, its next model, in India. The Syros, which will be positioned between the Sonet and Seltos in the company’s portfolio, may lead to the development of a new SUV/crossover market in India. Test vehicles of the small SUV, which was previously rumoured to be named Clavis, have been sighted many times in the last year.
Ahead of the Syros’ recent unveiling, the South Korean automaker posted many teases of the vehicle on social media. Kia has shared another teaser video of the future small SUV on its YouTube page and social media accounts. For the first time, the most recent teaser offers a look at what’s inside the Syros cabin.

Some important elements concerning the Syros are revealed in the brief 42-second teaser. This is the first time that the panoramic sunroof in Syros is seen. The gear lever, electronic parking button, wireless charging bay, and push-button engine start/stop are all found in the centre console of the cabin. A floating touchscreen, ambient lighting, and a redesigned steering wheel are all added to the dashboard.
The steering wheel has a Terrain Mode selection, multifunction controls, and an offset Kia logo. We anticipate that the instrument cluster, which is not seen in the teaser, will be an all-digital unit like the ones in Sonet and Seltos. A 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic wipers, LED lighting, an electric sunroof, and a high-end music system are further expected features.
The appearance of the Kia Syros, which has a strong front bumper with massive air intakes up front and vertically stacked LED headlights flanked by elegant L-shaped LED DRLs, has been teased in the past. Large air intakes and noticeable L-shaped LED DRLs on the bumper’s side give the front end a striking appearance. The SUV’s stance is improved with dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels and functional roof rails. Despite its size, Syros will seem muscular due to its squarish, flared-up wheel arches, as well as its sharp cuts and creases. The Syros’s streamlined rear end includes a flat tailgate, rear bumper reflectors, and L-shaped LED taillights built into the D-pillars.

A 1.5-liter diesel and a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol are anticipated to be the two powertrain options available for the Kia Syros. The diesel engine, which is shared by the Sonet, Seltos, and Creta models, generates 114 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. 118 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque are produced by the turbo-petrol engine that powers the Sonet, Venue, and Verna. Like the Sonet, the Syros diesel will be able to accommodate you with either a smooth 6-speed automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual. On the other hand, the Syros petrol will come with a 7-speed DCT automatic or a 6-speed manual. The Syros, in contrast to the Sonet, will not have a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.
