'All Chapters Covered, Moderate Difficulty': CBSE Science Exam 2026 Experts' Analysis
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10 Science examinationtoday, February 25, and the exam feedback from students and teachers has started to come. The Science examination this year was generally perceived as easy to moderate in difficulty, according to the feedback shared by experts.
According to Dr Neetu Kapoor, principal of Army Public School, the question paper reflected a balanced design, with appropriate weightage given to all chapters in accordance with the CBSE blueprint. “The overall structure was comparable to that of the previous year and adhered closely to the prescribed guidelines,” the principle observed.
TGT Physics from the school, Mr. Rakesh Sansanwal, Ms. Priyanka Batra, and Ms. Vijaya Sharma, analyzed the Physics paper, opining that the section included a mixed bag of direct and conceptual questions that assessed students’ clarity of understanding and their ability to apply fundamental principles.
“Questions were drawn from all expected areas of the syllabus, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Students with strong conceptual preparation were able to approach this section with confidence,” the experts added.
Analysing the Chemistry portion, Chemistry TGTs, Ms Reshu Mittal and Ms Hemalatha Srinivas said the paper was particularly well received by students, highlighting that it was balanced and moderate to easy in nature. The experts pointed out that the case-based questions were thoughtfully framed, enabling students to analyze situations and apply concepts learned in class effectively.
The Biology section was relatively easy to moderate, with well-structured and direct questions, opined Ms Anamika and Ms Tanya Kalra, Biology TGTs from the school. “Students who had prepared consistently found this section accessible and scoring,” the experts added.
Overall, the teachers described the paper as balanced and fair, noting that students with conceptual understanding across all three sections are likely to perform well, and it is expected that an average student would be able to secure above 75% marks.
