CBSE Board Exam 2024: Exam Form Submission Date For Private Candidates Extended Till October 18 (image: .cbse.gov.in)
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the exam form submission date for private candidates till October 18.
As per the official notice, the Board extended the exam form submission date for Class 10, 12 private candidates till October 18, 2023 without late fees, and with late fee is from October 19, 2023 till October 25, 2023.
The Board began the form submission process on September 12 for private candidates. According to the official notice released on September 5, 2023, the list of candidates who can submit the forms are students who have been declared essential repeat in the result, students who have been placed in compartment in the exam, students who have been placed in compartment in 1st chance compartment exam, failed/ essential repeat students of 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, passed out students of 2023 who wish to appear for improving their performance in one or more subjects, and passed out students of 2022, 2023 who wish to appear in an additional subject.
The registration fee for private candidates for Class 10th and 12th grade exams, is Rs 1,500. In the case of additional subjects, applicants from India are required to pay extra Rs 300 per subject. On other hand, applicants from Nepal need to pay Rs 1,000 per additional subject, and applicants from other countries are charged Rs 2,000 per additional subject.
CBSE is expected to conduct exams for both Class 10 and 12 from February 15, 2024, and conclude on April 10, 2024. In the last time, i.e., in 2023, CBSE Board Exams for class 10 were held from February 15 to April 5, 2023, and class 12 from February 15 to March 21.
